Ellis Kuhnke Surface & Panel Mounted Pneumatic Timers
The Ellis Kuhnke range of pneumatic timers was developed specifically for the US markets, and remains a popular product within the oil industry. The PT is unique in that no air bleed is used to achieve the timing function. The off-delay version is the only product to offer a genuine time delay after removal of compressed air signal. The Timer & Counter Company can supply all Ellis Kuhnke timers worldwide. Each model is individually built to include the customer's selection of standard features.
The PT Series includes panel and surface mount versions, 9 different time ranges from 0.1 - 1.0 seconds to 6 - 60 minutes. PT series are either on delay (normally closed) or off delay (normally open). PT series operate at low pressures, 5 psi (0.3 bar), up to 140 psi (9.5 bar) with 1/8 NPTF ports. Whilst being a very rugged and proven product, and ideal for certain applications, the PT series is not as accurate as the 54 and 51 series pneumatic timers which use clockwork mechanisms driven by a small control air bleed. There is no display on the PT timer to indicate elapsed time. The principle of operation is vacuum decay.

Installation Advice
Kuhnke PT timers are fitted with three 1/8 NPTF ports, which have parallel threads. We recommend the use of G1/8 taper fittings with integral seals for connection to control air and main ports. This product is vulnerable to contamination of the main valve orifice by PTFE sealing compounds which should not be used for compressed air connections in this case.
