Kuhnke Base Mounted Pneumatic Timers
The Kuhnke base mounted pneumatic timer is an older product that has been superceded by the clock faced, mini-timer and digital timers shown in this section. It still has certain advantages in limited applications and remains available for parts replacement. It is also branded for other manufacturers. What makes this product unique is it's base mounting. Connections are via the underside of the base-plate. Some special versions are available with side entry ports to the base. The timer can be described as "set and forget" because it can be installed within an enclosure and has no moving display. It is a short interval product with 3 time ranges, up to 180 secs delay.
There are NO (normally open) and NC (normally closed) versions. Based on a reservoir and diaphragm there are few moving parts, making this precise product very rugged. It is ideal for applications where the pre-set time cannot be adjusted by unauthorised operators. the time elapsed/to reset is not visable.
First set the required time delay. An air supply to control port 12 will start the delay period after which the main valve will operate.The valve remains in the condition until control air is removed or pulsed to reset. Note that port 1 and port 12 (control) must be connected to the same air supply, minumum 1.5 bar.
